Year 6A visited The British Library in King's Cross. They had the chance to explore one of the library's newest exhibition: Fantasy Realms of Imagination.
Pupils attended a workshop to engage them on a quest that lead the children through the entire exhibition to analyse the characteristics of a hero, discover portals into other worlds and create their own fantasies. They had the chance to design their own hero by creating Top Trump cards in order to defeat the evil fairy Queen Mad. The pupil then went on a monsters and demons hunt finding different types of antagonists from a range of well known fantasy literature and game such as Dungeons and Dragons as well as Lord of The Rings. Finally, using everything they had explored, the children in 6A them designed and created their own fantasy land.
